Job Introduction

Would you like to be part of a service built on safety, trust and hope?   We are looking for a compassionate and skilled MARAC Navigator to join Bradford RESET, a trauma-informed service supporting people affected by domestic abuse. 

This role focuses on victims experiencing repeated high-risk incidents who may not yet have been able to engage with existing support.  You will build trusting, person-centred relationships, working at each person’s pace to strengthen safety, confidence, support networks and hope for recovery.

About the service

Bradford RESET stands for Recognising, Engaging and Supporting Everyone to Transform. The service brings together domestic abuse navigation support with a wider therapeutic offer for people aged 16 and over who cause harm in intimate or family relationships.

Working closely with MARAC and partner agencies, the service takes a coordinated, trauma-informed approach to safety, recovery and family wellbeing.

What you will be doing

You will work with a small caseload of victims referred through MARAC, making proactive face-to-face contact in safe, agreed locations and providing intensive, practical and relational support. You will help people identify barriers, access appropriate services, develop support networks and engage with coordinated safety planning. You will also work closely with the Police DA&SV team and partner agencies, maintain accurate records, produce high-quality reports and use supervision and reflective practice to work safely and effectively.

About you

You will be an experienced practitioner who can balance warmth, persistence and professional boundaries. You will understand that trauma can affect how people engage with support, and you will be confident working with risk, complexity and uncertainty in a calm, respectful and safety-focused way.

Experience of supporting people with multiple needs or disadvantage is essential, as is experience of domestic abuse work, motivational interviewing or trauma-informed approaches would be welcomed.  You will also be qualified to Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent relevant qualification and demonstrate motivation, commitment to clients, the team and interagency working.
