Job Introduction

We're seeking a highly motivated and analytical investment professional to join our team at West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) as an Investment Analyst in our Property and Direct Private Markets team.

You will be responsible for providing investment analysis and due diligence on a range of global property funds and direct property assets.

Working closely with the team’s senior investment professionals, you will contribute analysis and commentary to support new investment decisions and portfolio liquidity solutions.

This important work will broaden, diversify, and strengthen as the portfolio continues to grow and the Fund transitions to become an FCA-regulated Pool.

You will be expected to provide subject-matter expertise, thematic input and strategic engagement for the CIO and the wider WYPF investment team.

You'll serve as a trusted resource and exercise sound judgement when evaluating investment and divestment opportunities.    A key aspect of the role is the ability to analyse and distil large quantities of data and provide summary conclusions in a clear, concise manner.

Candidates will be RICS, CFA, or CAIA qualified, and have demonstrable real estate investment management experience.

In addition, candidates must have:

  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of real estate markets, legal foundation, and best practice
  • A strong work ethic, be a team player and demonstrate a solid record of achievement.

Candidates must be independent, resourceful, and methodical with good problem-solving skills.   You must be able to meet deadlines and support others when required.  You will have strong interpersonal and report writing skills and be commercially minded.

This is a unique opportunity to influence key decision-making for a growing global property portfolio.

If you think you have what it takes to help drive WYPF to even greater success, we want to hear from you.

An Enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post
