Job Introduction
Supporting Families Key Worker at JAMES – Peripatetic.
Salary = £24,790 - £28,163 (FTE) depending on experience.
Supporting Families (previously known as Families First) has been set up to implement the Government Programme and our new contract as a partner delivering the services is until 31st March 2026 with potential extension subject to funding.
The role involves supporting families with complex needs to improve outcomes for children. You must be able to work within a team co-operatively with excellent communication skills and self-motivation. You should have professional and/or lived experience of working with physical and mental health issues, drug and alcohol, domestic abuse, housing, and financial support, or improving school attendance. You must be able to set clear measurable targets for change with families, whilst ensuring the voice of the child is heard. Keep up to date and thorough plans and records of intervention. Experience of using EHM (Early Help Module) is an advantage.
You will be working in a multi-agency service which draws on the skills and expertise within the team and a range of services.
It is essential the candidate must have valuable experience of working with families and can assess and plan in partnership with parents, children, and young people.
You must have a full driving license including business use and access to a car (unless disability prevents this). An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be carried out.
