Bradford Trident has a vacancy for:

 

Better Place Community Project Officer

35 hours per week including some evening and weekend work as required 

Fixed term 5th January 2026 - 31st December 2026

£26,000 – 28,000 pro rata

(+ 6.6% matched pension contribution)

 

As a Community Project Officer you will be a friendly face for our communities. We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and highly motivated individual, with practical experience in working with little ones and their families to join our Better Place team.

 

Community Project Officer will:

 

  • To drive the engagement part of the Better Place programme.
  • Work closely with families to encourage them to play and be active outdoors
  • To engage with expectant families, 0–3-year-old children, their families and key community organisations to bring about physical environmental improvements through co-design and community participation processes with the aim to improve health and wellbeing outcomes across three wards of Bradford. 
  • To Support Bradford Trident in its mission to bring about lasting environmental improvements through partnerships and contributing to the economic and social regeneration of the area. 
  • To support families to reflect on the past 10 years of Better Place and to provide evidence that will support future funding bids to sustain Better Place and to work as part of the wider Better Place programme team including to monitor and evaluate the impact of the programme delivery.

Applicants should have:

  • Experience of delivering engagement activities to children and families
  • Experience of community project delivery, development and promotion
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of individuals and families
  • Full driving license 

An Enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful applicant
