BHCA is a registered Charity and Company limited by guarantee with a proven 30-year track record of developing anti-hate strategies, delivering third party hate crime reporting pathways and supporting victims of hate crime. BHCA have successfully designed and delivered activities that promote cohesion and integration, uniting neighbourhoods to create prosperous and harmonious communities. As an integral partner of Bradford Council and West Yorkshire Police, we deliver partnership approaches towards hate crime and overcoming hate related abuse and/ or criminal behaviour. Through our activities we develop opportunities for communities to come together and celebrate differences.
What we need:
Bradford Hate Crime Alliance (BHCA) seeks a motivated individual to coordinate our hate crime services and ensure effective, quality support for clients.
As Hate Crime Coordinator for Bradford and its surrounding district, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of our community—championing inclusivity, resilience, and justice. This position reaches far beyond administrative coordination. You will become an active force in shaping a safer, more cohesive region by supporting individuals who have experienced hate crime, collaborating with local partners, and nurturing ongoing dialogue between diverse communities.
The role demands not only organisational skill but a genuine passion for standing up against injustice and building bridges where there are divides. Your empathy, energy, and dedication will be the driving force behind our hate crime reporting services, ensuring every voice is heard and every concern is met with thoughtful action.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with the Police, local authorities, Vitim Support, Restorative Practice and In-Communities Housing, to supschools, community groups, and individuals across Bradford and its district, providing direct support to those affected by hate incidents. Whether visiting clients in their homes or coordinating partnership efforts, you will be instrumental in fostering understanding and trust throughout the area.

We are recruiting:
A 22-hour post coordinating our Hate Crime Reporting services.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with proven experience in coordinating multiple projects, ideally within an environment that values equal opportunities and cultural diversity. The role requires strong data management and monitoring skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders. Flexibility regarding working hours and duties is essential, as you’ll be adapting to the evolving needs of our service. The position involves coordinating our Hate Crime Reporting services across Bradford, making a direct impact in the community and empowering those who have experienced hate crime.
